Peak Experiences

Rising to the challenges of a staggered economy that has tightened travel budgets, evolutions in research practices and oversight that demand continuing education, and, yes, even snow that fell in April, nearly 2,500 attendees and more than 200 exhibitors experienced the wonders of Denver during the ACRP 2009 Global Conference & Exhibition in the Mile High City, April 24−28.

The projected final attendance figure is on par, or even better than, three of the past five annual Global Conferences, due, in no small part, to the fact that 90 percent of the conference content was new and more than 167 speakers were first timers with ACRP.

In addition to the altitudinous nature of simply being in Denver itself, this year’s Global Conference offered many peak experiences through a multitude of learning, networking, and social events, including pre-conference workshops, concurrent sessions, panel discussions, keynote speeches, receptions, and business gatherings directed toward the needs of the entire clinical research team. Enhancing the offerings available to all attendees was the full integration, for the fourth year, of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators (APPI) Program with the Global Conference.
